Great Lakes Out, Gridiron Developmental In.
On Tuesday May 21, 2013, the affiliation partnership between the Great Midwest Football League and the Great Lakes Football League has officially ended and the affiliation with the Gridiron Developmental Football League has begun.

The GMFL Announces Location Change to Border Wars.
The GMFL 2013 Border Wars was scheduled to be played at Riverview High School but is now changed to Gateway High School located 5101 McRee Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110.
League Vice President Brandy Bold who is responsible for the Boarder Wars Project said “This has been a long process but we are excited about hosting this event at Gateway High School. It's a great new turf field and I think the location will help bring out more fans to enjoy this event.”

Weekend of Champions Catches Hales
West Alton, MO — The Great Midwest Football League has made Hales Franciscan High School the location for the 2013 Weekend of Champions on September 14th.
“We wanted to make sure that we had a facility that had all of the amenities needed to put on a quality event but the most important thing is we wanted a field that was properly marked,” said Commissioner Anthony McCormick.

West Alton, MO — The Great Midwest Football League would like to announce the date and location for the Respondek Bowl has been secured and will take place on Saturday October 12, 2013 at Collinsville High School at 7pm Central Standard.

West Alton, MO — The Great Midwest Football League’s board of directors voted unanimously (3-0) to offer an incentive that will make playing in the All-American Game more appealing to the players.

Brown, Glover First Inductee's for 2013 Hall of Fame Class
West Alton, MO — Although official voting has not already begun, the Great Midwest Football League has inducted two members into the 2013 Hall of Fame Class.
Coach Andre Brown (Midwest Chargers) and Eric Glover (Illinois Gators) will go into the honorary ring of the GMFL Hall of Fame.

West Alton, MO — The recent passing of Illinois Gators Defensive Back Eric Glover who died on January 10th marks the 4th year in a row that a member of the GMFL has passed too soon.
